What is Soundala?

The generic name for a Soundala type device is a Sound Responsive Lighting Device (SRLD)  It is a device that separates music in to various frequency spectrums that drive different colored lights   In the 1970’s they were referred to as light organs.

Soundala Play reacts to sound, separating it into various frequency spectrums and displays a pattern based on that the level of sound in various frequencies.

Is there only one art work on the display?  Will there be others?

This mandala is it for now.

Who did the mandala art work?

The art is based on a work of art called Spectrum by Nancy Alexander an artist who lives in Ventura, CA.  It was created in 1989.  I had a license agreement with her in the early 1990’s which expired in 1995.   In 2005 I bought the copyright outright from her, expanded the art and renamed the work Spiraling Lotus(c) 2007.
